I agree janeite I still find myself saying Michael Gambon is doing Dumbledore all wrong.

gallusbesom · 01/05/2009 20:48

OMG I wish I hadn't watched that Mrs Weasley - I will now struggle to wait until July to see it for real!

Looks bleedin excellent. Half blood prince is my favourite book of the series

janeite · 01/05/2009 20:49

I've just re-read number 6 and 7 - perhaps another re-read before July?!

MrsWeasley · 01/05/2009 20:53

oh yes! Any excuse for a re-read.

janeite · 01/05/2009 20:56

Emma Watson still can't 'do' crying, can she?! I don't think she's developed much as an actress: liked her a lot in the first few films but not sure she's got enough range for the final couple.

MrsWeasley · 01/05/2009 21:09

gallusbesom: I know what you mean. I want it now!
I did enjoy Half-Blood Prince but am now fretting over which bits they will cut out.

tillyfernackerpants · 01/05/2009 21:23

I'm going to have to go back & read them again, only thing is I have to reread them from the beginning & in order

Agree about Emma Watson, she still seems to have a stage school aura about her!

MrsW, well I know my ds's are too young to see them & dh doesn't think its worth getting a babysitter in for so guess I'll have to go on my own

Baisey · 01/05/2009 21:30

Yay potter fans on MN!

MrsWeasley · 01/05/2009 21:42

Baisey: we are more than just fans, we are obsessed!!

MrsWeasley · 01/05/2009 21:54

here for previews.

bea · 02/05/2009 21:05

oh i am still sooo obsessed and still mourning the fact that i will no longer have those mornings eagerly awaiting an amazon delivery and then scurrying away with my book with strict instructions not to be disturbed!!!!

can't wait for the remaining films and meanwhile will have to re read and start obsessing over edward cullen... !

Baisey · 02/05/2009 21:08

hee hee, Im obsessed too!
My DH is an official potter widower.

I CANNOT wait to see the new one my son is to young at 2.5 so my sister and I take my niece who is 13 (we also used to do the midnight launches, dressed her up as Bellatrix and she won the comp!)

Baisey · 02/05/2009 21:11

I actually used to book the day off work so I could read the book in peace...

MrsWeasley · 02/05/2009 21:18

for bea

Oh I loved the midnight parties. Not only did I take the next day off I made DH take them off too so that he could keep the kids quiet look after the DCs and send drinks into me!

janeite · 03/05/2009 12:09

WE went better than midnight parties and actually went to SLEEPOVERS in the library! Twas very cool indeed. AND dd2 won the fancy dress competition both times!

I wish there would be another series of books that would generate the same excitement. It felt lovely to be part of a community in which everybody was enjoying something so intensely at the same time, all over the world.

MrsWeasley · 03/05/2009 16:56

oh wow sleepovers in the library sounds cool.

We nearly didn't make it to the launch party as we had localised flash floods and the trafic was at a standstill due to road closures but we made it. phew!

bea · 03/05/2009 23:13

Mrs Weasley... ahhh! Cedric Diggory!!! thank you! Poor old cedders!... hmmm! but also...
hmmm edward!

i was gutted i never attended a book launch... i wish i did but i didn't have the excuse of a 10 year old to drag along.... i would have done the whole kit and caboodle and i think that's what i'm sooo gutted about that i don't think there'll ever be a a series of books like it again!

MrsWeasley · 24/05/2009 23:19

this love scene makes me LOL, its brilliant

MrsWeasley · 24/05/2009 23:25

Another preview

Oooooooooooo I am so excited

tillyfernackerpants · 09/07/2009 07:59

One week to go!!!

I'm going to start reading all the books again this week before I see it!

Does anyone think it will be sad if I went on my own to see it? Dh really really not interested & ds's too young
