I'm a fan. But although I waited ages and ages for the latest one I'm holding off reading it until the next one is out, because I re-read the first three not so long ago, and I don't want to do it again for A Feast for Crows and then again within a short while for A Dance of Dragons. I expect I will give in soon though because he took an incredibly long time to finish the last one, and it's sitting on my bedside table (only so long I can put off the temptation). I was kind of hoping that it would come along quick because the word was that he'd already written most of it.

Yes, I have to admit I wish I hadn't read Feast of Crows just because it seems that events in Crows will co-inside with the events in Dragons.

They are fantastic - a friend introduced them to me, apparently there is a game based on the books which my friend has and he and his DW are after me to join them at some point!

Brilliant, brilliant, clever books. Haven't read the latest one yet - again, I'm also waiting for the next one so I can read them together. I think I should also back read the rest as it's taken soooo long for these to come out.

I know! I keep checking his website... I just love them!! There is so much detail to so many different characters and they all change and grow. Plus the complete absence of fluff - it's so harsh and unrelenting no attempts to soften some of the cruelties carried out by various people.

And he really doesn't care who he kills off. You think someone's a 'safe' central character, and biff, there they go. That's one hell of an imagination he's got. But it's such a massive, convoluted plot, it does need re-reading just to keep up.

Absolutely. DO you know there asre 2 more books after Dragons? Just had a look on Wikipedia...

I knew there were more, I just wasn't sure how many. Is that 2 final, or are there more after that?

I don't know, it just lists two more, but you n ever know!
