Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.......

It is known that two characters are going to die.

First - Harry is going to die. (Harry is a Horcrux and after finshing Voldemort will have to ask Ron or Hermione to kill him.)

Second Voldemort will die.

So who do you think will die? ...

Some of us on the other thread were wondering if V might have been planning to make a horcrux with Harry's death, but when the curse rebounded on him, that he accidently turned him into one instead.
I'm not convinced but it would be a reason why harry had to die.

i am looking forward to this coming out but even more am looking forward to the background notes type book a la tolkein that will come out next

horcrux is complex.

but does make sense

but can you accidentally create one? (i suppose he could have been in the habit of it by then)

or perhaps he'd intended to all this time

but if harry is his horcrux, why would he keep trying to kill him? That is not sensible behaviour.

i think you cast the spell then kill, then it makes it. so if he'd done it then it back fired, which has never happened before, then it crated one in him by accident along with the transfer of powers such as parseltongue.
If it duid happen I doubt V would have been aware, and so doesn't realise that by killing Harry he'll destroy a horcrux, after all DD said he isn't aware when one is destroyed.

i am going to lay fown my bet and say that harry isn't a horcrux.

i just can't see it myself.

it's a very complex piece of magic -not one that can be done my accident i don't think.

If he is, which I am not betting on either, then he wont have done the whole thing by accident but meant to use Harry's death to creat on in something else. He transfered his powers to Harry by accident so why not transefing the horcrux spell to him by accident??

i am so intrigued by what significance harrys eyes will have.

i am rereading ootp in order to try and pick up on the important thing apparently revealed about lily..but no luck yet!

I think the Lily stuff was the stuff with Snape in the Pensieve and the fact that she didn't always like james very much .
I thought it was specifically the colour of his eyes that was significant.

i know but it clearly states in the prophecy that one has to die for the other to live+...............i am assuming that the prophecy isnt a lie and that v gets blasted into a trillion pieces

I assume if V did kill Harry that he would then be ok with all his Horcruxes etc but I don't think JKR will let evil win.

I think Hagrid and Ron die. No particular reason, just in denial about it being Harry who might die.

I've seen that there are two other threads but this one seems more manageable i.e not GINORMOUS!!

the prophecy isnt a lie but it doesnt have to be fullfilled. DD told harry that!

If harry is a horcrux (which I dont beleive he is) V would do everything in his power to keep him alive!
JKR said that they dont draw attention to themselves (harry certainly does that )

I think the fact that V used Harry's blood to regenerate himself will be more important that the horcrux theory (see DD's gleam in GOF). Also apparently it is the colour of Harry's eyes that are important which made me think it might be something to do with the colour spectrum and the fact that V's eyes are red.

If H is a Horcrux, which I don't think he is then I would say V doesn't know he is, so is still trying to kill him.
