Morning all. Following on from Friday, I find the most upsetting bits when Harry's mum and dad come out of the wand, and any bits where Mrs Weasley treats Harry like he's her son. It brings a lump to my throat at the thought of him growing up with no love and affection.

oh yes I agree, I think that is what makes him to appealing and we would forgive him anything because he needs our love

And as DD says what makes him so extraordinary is that he hasn't lost his capacity to love, despite his treatment by the Dursleys.

Watched a bit of the second movie yesterday (must buy it) it was the bit where Harry arrives at the burrow, ooh I love that house. It's my inspiration.
When I get really fed up with the mess and chaos around me I imagine my home is the burrow and suddenly the chaos looks warm, lively and fun!
And really it is the kind of family home I aim to provide

finished HBP. now i have a few weeks of big fat nothing until new book.

persephone, I'm feeling tempted to read the last 3 again & hopefully that'll take me to the new book!

Am just after xmas in OOTP, trying to slow down so HBP will take me to 21st, as don't want to read anything in between.

I finished them all recently and have gone back to read the last two more slowly, looking for clues. BTW what did they do with the locket that they took out of the cabinet at Grimauld Place? Did it get thrown away and how would they dispose of such dangerous rubbish? How would the wizard bin men find the place if they hadn't been told by the secret keeper? Is it one of the things that Kreacher stole?

I think it all got put in a bag, and Kreacher kept nicking stuff from it.

So either Kreacher has it or where is it??

We are going to scotland on our holiday this summer and plan a trip of the West Highland Jacobean Steam train, AKA the Hogwarts express.
