Victober Challenge 2018

Is anyone doing this? Just in case it's not obvious, it's a challenge to read only victorian literature in October. I'm using it as an excuse to read classics I haven't read before. I don't know if I'll achieve my ambitious reading list but I'm starting with The Picture of Dorian Gray

I'm doing it.
I'm currently reading The Pickwick Papers for Ange's challenge - although quite a few of my choices could fit this challenge, actually.

I think I may have bitten off a bit more than I can chew to be honest but I'm going to give it my best shot. It helps that I've got ten days off starting Saturday.

What else are you planning on reading?

Vanity Fairand North and South. If I have time I want to reread Wuthering Heights. I am however struggling immensely with a course so I've neglected poor Oscar for over 2 days now. Good thing I started early!
What is your TBR list?

Elizabeth Gaskell - Cousin Phillis and other stories (Kate's challenge)
Thomas Hardy - Far From the Madding Crowd (Ange's challenge)
Charlotte Brontë - Villette (Lucy's challenge)
George Bernard Shaw - Arms and the Man
Oscar Wilde - Lady Windermere's Fan
Pickwick Papers (these three are all for Katie's challenge - I was wrong in my other post!)
Robert Louis Stevenson Kidnapped (general challenge, I'm planning to watch the 1971 film with Michael Caine)

And I've also rashly agreed to buddy read Cranford.

I'm thinking I might have overloaded this tbr but Cousin Phillis and the plays are quite short so I might get all of them read.

I was intending to try and read Agnes Grey as well but, since adding Cranford, I think I might have to give it a miss.

I love both North and South and Wuthering Heights but have never read either Vanity Fair or The Picture of Dorian Gray. I really should - maybe next Victober Grin

Sorry to hear of your course problems, I hope you get back on track soon.
