alan curbishley ..my life

do you mean stuff that puts you in the mood or that has sexiest scenes in?

WelshBoris · 04/06/2007 22:36

D'ya know I've never read a sexy book.

Even though I love sex and I love reading, I've never mixed the two.

What are your favourites?

NOT the story of O

hippocampus · 04/06/2007 22:40

I'm ashamed to admit that I have to stick to the supposedly literary stuff like Anais Nin, Georges Bataille etc for fear of being found out

hippocampus · 04/06/2007 22:41

'The White Hotel' by D M Thomas is probably the sexiest book I have ever read, but it is coupled with such barbarity that I can't count it as erotic.

FrannyandZooey · 04/06/2007 22:43

Jane Eyre

not obv sexy stuff can be really sexy.

Started 'Landy and the Unicorn' today and the first chapter gave me a shiver.

BishyBarneyBee · 04/06/2007 22:46

or just google for a bit of slash if subtle is not your thing.

FrannyandZooey · 04/06/2007 22:46

moi?

NotQuiteCockney · 04/06/2007 22:47

I'm sure some slash is subtle.

Actually, I've never actually managed to read any, the bits I've looked at were grammatically difficult.

I wonder whether being squicked by bad grammar and spelling is a common sexual preference? Probably not, given all the alarmingly bad slash etc out there.

BishyBarneyBee · 04/06/2007 22:49

I know what you mean - slash is so uncensored that I would not know where to begin. the grammar and bad writing is the equivilant of a bucket of cold water - oh maybe I am an erotica snob!

Heathcliffscathy · 04/06/2007 22:51

welshboris, thanks for that by the way, on the other thread....

I have been afraid of the real stuff since I got a book free with some godawful long since cancelled 'woman's' magazine that involved a female chef, her male collegues and a whole variety of vegetables.

Heathcliffscathy · 04/06/2007 22:52

delta of venus is so well thumbed so to speak chez moi that it is falling apart

Searchable stories, and lots of!
