Cute picture book that you can look at again and again. It comes in the Sure Start package that you get from the library when the child is about three. It's good fun.

I do not know how young you are aiming it at but I love Shirley Hughes books for the illustrations alone.

RosaLuxembourg · 03/06/2007 23:17

Margaret Someone - Is The Runaway Bunny the other one, Otter?
My new favourite picture book is That Rabbit Belongs to Emily Brown by Cressida Cowell.
Also I love all Helen Cooper's books.

Oliver Jeffers books How to catch a star and Lost and Found are lovely and DS 2yr loves them. Also the elephant and the bad baby as long as you don't analyse it too much)

wrinklytum · 03/06/2007 23:24

I do not usually spend that much on toys/clothes for the dcs but my real weakness is books.you really can't beat sharing a good book.ds loves the Axel Sheffler/Julia Donaldson ones I love the rhyming language.I am really looking forward to when I can read them Roald Dahl, and Just So Stories and all the stuff I was really lucky to be read. Was talking to DP and his parents NEVER read to him.I love it cos he enjoys readng the dcs a bedtime story now.

melbob · 03/06/2007 23:26
