my lot prefer a book called "No More Kissing"

wonder what that says about them lol

schneebly · 24/05/2007 14:27

I like it and so do my DSs - we are a soppy bunch though! I have been reading it since DS1 was about 6 months old!

nannyogg · 24/05/2007 14:28

I like it too. So yah boo sucks.

chipmonkey · 24/05/2007 14:28

It makes me cry. Along with "Big brother, little brother" by Penny Dale.

GraceKelly · 24/05/2007 14:28

We like 'All join in' too - and Peepo and Each Peach

ekra · 24/05/2007 14:30

It was bought for us. We also have the cuddly little hare. I like it because it is a short book and when it is my turn to put DDs to bed, I try to get away with reading short books.

There are many worse books out there.

ekra · 24/05/2007 14:31

We love Peepo too and my 20 month old has just started to sit still enough to have it read to her and she says "Peepo!"

LynetteScavo · 24/05/2007 14:33

I have bought 2 copies. (1 pop up) There ae so many horrid, lame childrens books, but this isn't one of them.

IdrisTheDragon · 24/05/2007 14:36

No. I am very glad no one has ever bought it for us and there is no way I would buy it .

IdrisTheDragon · 24/05/2007 14:37
luciemule · 24/05/2007 14:39

We had 2 given as pressies and DD has a bedtime thing with DH where they do this big long "I love you to the sun, moon etc..........and now DS (2) wants to start it with me! Bedtime takes ages and I always forget the words. I was thinking though I don't really like the way the daddy hare almost belittles the baby hare's feelings - bit odd.

filthymindedvixen · 24/05/2007 14:42

both boys liked it but it's taken on new poignancy for me since a friend's young dd died unexpetedly. They read a piefce out at the funeral and now even the cover of the book makes me well up

ahundredtimes · 24/05/2007 14:42

Idris - perhaps OTHER PEOPLE think you're cold and unfeeling and that's why they never bought it for you? Is quite a worry. Noone ever bought for us either.

Nightynight · 24/05/2007 15:05

I hate this horrible soppy book

fridayschild · 24/05/2007 15:10

DS2 likes it. He likes anything with bunnies

PrettyCandles · 24/05/2007 15:14

Oh I'm glad no-one has ever bought it for us - it's horrible. I don't care about the cutsey tweeness of it, it just seems vaguely "I love you more - so there!"

I liked "Kiss Goodnight Sam", and ds1 loved me being Mother Bear and bending down to kiss him not once but twice.

indiasmum · 24/05/2007 15:14

i love it.
dcs arent too bothered. pictures arent garish enough!

PeppermintStick · 24/05/2007 15:44

dh bought it for ds which I thought was cute. But ds couldn't care less, in fact his current favourite book is about two pteradactyls that constantly fight then get eaten by a T Rex... that's his kind of book!

Vikkin · 24/05/2007 15:55

Mog rules OK.

TinyGang · 24/05/2007 16:02

Little Nut Brown Hare is a bit annoying - dc quite liked it.

I always loved Hairy MacClary, Slinky Malinky and Room on the Broom. I think I must like the rhyming ones.

cardy · 24/05/2007 16:03

No, don't like it...much prefer Each Peach and Peepo - dds too.

Dogsby · 24/05/2007 16:04
