What do people use?

Normally get a paper one with book I’m buying but kinda feel like I want some proper ones.
Anyone have any ideas?

I like the ones from National Trust shops. Good quality, leather, or recycled materials, often picked up from places I've visited.

I use a bookmark my son made for mel when he was about 7 or 8. He drew a picture of one of the fish from the aquarium that he had at the time, a weather loach called Whiskers because of the whiskery barbels around it's mouth.

This bookmark has traveled far and wide with me, and has also been laminated about half a dozen times in order to preserve it.

My son is now 23 and has long since flown the nest, so that gives you some idea of how old the bookmark is and how much I value it!

I love paper bookmarks and have collected them on holidays for years. They are cheap and cheerful souvenirs; although I have some more expensive ones, most of them were only a euro or equivalent . When I start a new book I choose a different bookmark. Currently I am looking at one depicting the Santa Justa Lift in Lisbon.

I too collect them on holiday. Using one from Montenegro currently. A lovely reminder of good times and sunshine Smile
