I'm going through a bit of a stressful time and just want some easy reads. I like most of Sophie kinsella books. Any others similar to hers?

Just looked up Nicole Moriaty, Fiere as I love Liane but hadn’t heard of Nicole. Will try her, thanks.

Catherine Alliott's first one (Old Girl Network) and the sequel are just what the doctor ordered - bit trashy but full of warmth and humour.

Catherine Kelly, Patricia Scanlon are my go to. Patricia Scanlon in paticular. I recently downloaded Mallory Towers by Enid Blyton on Kindle this year during a particular stressful period. It held my interest enough to distract me before going to sleep with without having to read about the 'real world'!

A friend lent me Graham Norton's debut novel (Holding) and I was pleasantly surprised, would recommend.

Love almost all of those mentioned by pps. Would also add Tasmina Perry & Louise Bagshawe and Tilly Bagshawe.
My goto books for easy re-reads are always Jilly Cooper or Trebizon though.

Just coming to jot some names down to google for an evening read

I love Sarah Morgan. She's written a lot and I get hooked on them 🙈 I countdown waiting for the next one to be released

EmpressOfTheSpartacusOceans · 02/01/2018 22:25

Anything by Jane Fallon. She's got a new one coming out next week.

Penny Vincenzi. Interesting stories.
Marian Keyes usually has me laughing out loud, even when the subject matter is tough. Wasn't that keen on The Brightest Star in the Sky though.

Veronica Henry. Try The Apple Orchard to see if you like her. It’s a free short story. Smile

Yy to Jane Green. I loved Jemima J. I recently read Mad by Chloe Esposito which was a fun read. Also Maestra and Domina by LS Hilton.

Scribblegirl · 03/01/2018 13:04

Not sure if anyone's said Lucy Robinson? I love 'The Greatest Love Story of All Time' and 'A Passionate Love Affair with a Total Stranger'. They're a lot less cheesy than the titles, honest! Grin

LadyPenelope68 · 03/01/2018 13:06

Jenny Colgan or Giovanna Fletcher

mrsnolasco · 03/01/2018 13:10

Debbie Macomber - the cedar cove series. Lovely feel good books. I want to live there! Also second Marian Keys - Rachel's Holiday and the Mystery of Mercy Close are fab!

coastalchick · 06/01/2018 22:06

Jane Fallon, Jane Green, Adele Parks,. I also read one called Rules for a perfect life recently which was really easy though can't remember the author

PrimalLass · 06/01/2018 22:13

Jenny Colgan

I don’t like Sophie Kinsella, but Karen Swan is a nice and fluffy read.

EmpressOfTheSpartacusOceans · 06/01/2018 22:34

Jane Fallon has a new one out next week.
