Graphic novel recommendations?

Any good graphic novel suggestions for DH as a surprise Christmas present?

We’ve got: Blankets, Maus and something called Logicomix I think. (The only one I’ve read is Blankets, not very well versed in the genre myself).

Any good ones I could get? Ta.

If you want to invest in a series go for Sandman by Neil Gaiman. Then the Lucifer series spins off from it

The Rivers of London series of novels has some graphic novels that run alongside the main story.

The Scott Pilgrim series.

Standalone comic book style ones I'd recommend:
Watchmen
From Hell
Batman: The Dark Knight Returns
Marvel's Civil War

There are also some decent graphic novel adaptations of print novels. The Terry Pratchett ones are good. As are the A Song of Ice and Fire ones.

Saga seems a bit childish but it is an amazing series.

I thought Dungeon Fun was fab by Neil Slorance and it's OK for kids to read over your shoulder.

How about a graphic memoir? Alison Bechdel's Fun Home, about her father, and Are You My Mother? are both beautifully done and very interesting.

Yy Fun Home is fantastic.

I read The Arab of The Future parts 1 & 2 this year and really enjoyed it. It’s another memoir of a chap raised in France who then is taken by his parents to live in first in Libya and then Syria. Loved the art and there is some lovely humour which is just as well as his child hood is all manner of wtfery. His dad is a total crazer.
