Recommend a scary book

Recently read woman in black which I enjoyed. I'd never read horror genre before. Follows by girl on the landing but was very underwhelmed. Any recommendations for a good scare

Any of FG Cottam's books are pretty spooky. Also recommend Dark Matter by Michelle Paver.
