Book club recommendation

For anyone in a book club can you recommend a book that generated a lot of debate and discussion. It's sometimes a bit dull when we all say we adore it. Want to suggest something that will really get us talking!

'Small Great Things' by Jodi Picoult

We've done that one. It provoked a big discussion about the politics of the book but no polar views regarding the book as a whole.

I'm looking for something that will have some people loving it and others hating it for a good debate.

Try "The Elephant in the Room" by Alice Wells.

Let's talk about kevin

Underground Railroad by Colson Whitehead.

Also the third life of grange copeland. One of alice walkers lesser known books

The Miniaturist and The Girl with All the Gifts had varying views in my bookclub

Gone girl. People either loved it or hated it (I hated it)

Book Thief by Marcus Zusak created a lot discussion

Rivers of London by Ben Aaronovich was a good one too

We Need To Talk About Kevin

I would third or is it even fourth We Talk About Kevin. I would also add The Heart Goes Last by Margaret Atwood which generated a lot of discussion.

We had a good discussion about Room.

His Bloody Project by Graeme McRae Burnet. Life After Life or A God in Ruins, both by Kate Atkinson. All interesting because of the structure as well as the story, and may divide opinion.
