Recommendations for a 5 * chick lit book!

Hi All,

I've been reading a lot of YA Fantasy books recently and I'm bored. None of them give me the feel good factor that I get with some good chick lit.

I've not read much as can you hit me up with some recommendations please!

Thanks.

I was just about to post this very question for my holidays, following!

Early books by Marian Keyes, especially Rachel's Holiday and The Last Chance Saloon.

Anything by Harriet Evans.

Ralph's Party, Thirtynothing, One Hit Wonder and Vince & Joy by Lisa Jewell.

My Life on a Plate by India Knight.

I have more if you want!

The Hating Game by Sally Thorne is great

ZacharyQuack · 14/08/2017 20:47

Welcome to Temptation by Jennifer Crusie.

I don't like chick lit usually, but I love these two books

Second Rachel's Holiday. One of my faves. Another Marian Keyes I like is Is Anybody Out There?

Obviously now I can't think of any others

I'm not sure I'd call it 5* but I've really enjoyed the audio versions of Lianne Moriartys novels.

Thanks all.

I am having a renaissance of the original chit lit books...

Lace and savages both by Shirley conran. Great reads, well written, not to unrealistic soppy endings, and nice big books... So last a satisfying amount of time.

Muddlingalongalone · 14/08/2017 21:22

Tasmina Perry & Louise Bagshawe, although I slightly went off the latter when I found out she was Louise mensch!

BlackAmericanoNoSugar · 14/08/2017 21:26

Ain't she Sweet by Susan Elisabeth Phillips
I was going to say Welcome to Temptation, but I've been beaten to it. Bet Me and Agnes and the Hitman, both also by Jennifer Crusie, are worth a read too.

Anything by Jill Mansell- total escapism

Hammy12345 · 14/08/2017 21:31

Any book written by Milly Johnson, they are all great. Have just read a couple by Trisha Ashley and they were very enjoyable too.

Anything by Lindsay Kelk or Paige Toon, all fantastic reads

NapQueen · 15/08/2017 20:26

The Cows by Dawn O Porter.

Sillyshell · 16/08/2017 15:41

Rebecca Chance is good or Victoria Fox but they are both a bit raunchy if you don't mind that sort of thing!

NewYearNewNickname · 22/08/2017 16:29

I second The Cows by Dawn O'Porter.

TheIntrovertedMum · 22/08/2017 18:53

Anything by Milly Johnston or Lucy Diamond they are both fab!!

TheIntrovertedMum · 22/08/2017 18:53

I also second Victoria Fox and love Katie Agnew (they are both a bit raunchy/glamourous as opposed to Milly Johnston and Lucy Diamond who are more everyday)

wiltingfast · 23/08/2017 13:54

Early Katie Fforde is fantastic. I loved Living Dangerously.

Jennifer Weiner also vg; Good in Bed is excellent

Adele Parks also good

Freya North is another I've really enjoyed in the past. Try Cat. Smile

From pp I'd second early Marian Keyes, Lisa jewel and Jill mansell

SnowiestMountain · 23/08/2017 21:57
