A good enough reason to book a holiday for? DP just said, after discussion of not being able to go on holiday this year as want to visit SIL in Australia next year (money constraints)! Apparantly he needs the peace to concentrate

Poor love, can he not multi-task like us women!

trillium · 24/03/2007 22:43

I'm just about to start re-reading, ready for the new one.

First time I've ordered a book so far in advance

princesscc · 24/03/2007 22:45

Me too, me too! Me & dd are sharing a copy of Half Blood Prince as we speak! I haven't pre-ordered, but I have an overwelming urge to join the excitement at midnight at Waterstones in Oxford Street!

LilyLoo · 24/03/2007 22:47

Thats what i'm worrying about tmmj i won't see him for 24 hours whilst he reads the damn thing. At least if i on sun bed with a nice drink i won't care i suppose. TBH i do like them myself not enough to queue from Midnight though Princessc

I'm stil waiting for the HB Price to be in paperback

I have all the others in PB & I want to complete the set grr

Will it ever be in paperback?

expatinscotland · 24/03/2007 22:51

I've taken the day after the release off so I can stay up reading .

As it is, I've pre-ordered mine for delivery as a Waterstone's in the shopping centre down the road from us. So I'll be there at midnight with all the other saddos.

princesscc · 24/03/2007 22:57

What's even sadder is, that'll be the first time I've been out passed 9 o'clock for months! I'm kidding myself that I'm doing it for dd (11), as she really likes them too. I keep thinking it'll be exciting for her and something she can recall for years, when really its all about ME! Why am I so excited fgs, I'm 39. The release date is even written on my bloody calendar!

Nikki76 · 24/03/2007 22:59

I've already planned DH babysitting DS that day and have told him not to take any day/night shift at hospital so I can stay home and read in peace!!!

princesscc you are not alone on that one

trillium · 24/03/2007 23:04

Gawd. Haven't even considerd being there for midnight.

It takes me over an hour to get to the shop I've pre-ordered from.

I was hoping to saunter along the day after and still be able to get the free copy of the Wizards of the World book that they're offering. (While stocks last )

expatinscotland · 24/03/2007 23:08

I'll be booking a taxi to get to the shop closer to the time .

tigerschick · 24/03/2007 23:08

Pre-ordered from Waterstones - half price. But having it delivered by post ... is this a little half-hearted of me?

expatinscotland · 24/03/2007 23:11

There's a rumour that JK is going to be signing at this particular Waterstone's. Not confirmed, but we live in hope!

Gawd, I'm tragic .

trillium · 24/03/2007 23:11

But when will you get it?

expatinscotland · 24/03/2007 23:14

Should be about 8AM the morning of release if it's like Amazon.

I'm re-reading the series a month in advance.

But everytime I think I'm sad, I think about DumbledoresGirl, who still thinks Dumby's alive and Snape's a goodie.

And she has the added sadness of finding David Tennant and Mr Darcy attractive .

Nikki76 · 24/03/2007 23:14

Mr Darcy is rather attractive though....mmmmm!!

trillium · 24/03/2007 23:15

Expat, I'm presuming from the latter part of your name that you are in vaguely the same neck of the woods as me.

What town is your Waterstones in??? At least give me the first letter.

expatinscotland · 24/03/2007 23:15

Edinburgh.

Ocean Terminal Waterstones.

If you're out there, JK, here's one fan who's hoping the rumour's true .

littleEasterlapin · 24/03/2007 23:16

I'm collecting it at midnight... and should have finished it by 4am (although obviously I don't know how big it is, so give or take an hour).

SO how much will you lot pay me not to come on here and tell you the ending!!!

expatinscotland · 24/03/2007 23:17

I'm going to loan it to my boss when I'm done, as I did with the last book for her train trip to Cardiff.

trillium · 24/03/2007 23:18

I'll give you a used and warm wetsuit

expatinscotland · 24/03/2007 23:19

Erm, no thanks, trill. But cheers for the offer .

trillium · 24/03/2007 23:23

Sorry Expat, that was for LittleLapin.

Have shit connection and am never able to respond with a quick/witty comment. I always end up with crossed posts
