What to read after Poldark?

I've read the whole series of Poldark books and am now mourning them but never re-read books. I've read several books since but nothing is matching up and I can't get into anything properly. Any recommendations from fellow Poldark lovers for something else that might match up?

Since finishing the last one I've read The Art of Racing in the Rain which I thought was crap, the first Clifton Chronicles book by Jeffrey Archer which was OK but not great, and an Ian Rankin (I'm working my way through the Rebus series but it's just so dour compared to Poldark...) and next on my list is Decline and Fall as I haven't read any Evelyn Waugh before.

@ProseccoBitch thank you for the reply. I found the first book on iBooks for £1.99 so downloaded that. Saw there were 12 altogether so no wonder you were so immersed in them by the time you had finished them. I certainly enjoyed what I have just read and can imagine that filling out the characters and plot is going to be a real bonus. I would prefer to read the books rather than download but I suspect they will be quite expensive as there are so many. I am really looking forward to them so thank you for setting me off on what I know will be a great reading experience.

PS - I know how you feel. I felt bereft after finishing C.J.Sansom's Shardlake books so I read Dominion and Winter in Madrid which were good but how I missed Shardlake. I think long series of books really immerse you in such a way that it is difficult to detach yourself from that created world. A couple of years ago I read War and Peace, Anna Karenina and Ressurection by Tolstoy and I couldn't detach myself from that very Russian world for quite a time.
