European Tour Reading List!

Sorry, not as grand as it sounds.

I'm driving a motor home round Europe on my own for five months and would like to read some books, fiction or non fiction, relevant to the countries I'm visiting. I'm interested in modern history if that helps at all. The countries are:

The Netherlands
Belgium
France
Italy
Croatia
Montenegro
Albania
Greece

Sounds like a fab trip, how about Us by David Nicholls (about a family doing a grand European tour before their son goes to uni)?

I think reading this book is going to help you to understand the 20th Century history of Europe. It's very well written:
