Tana French almost complete. What next?

Help. I have about 25% left of the final Tana French series to read. Is it just the Murder squad she has done? Have looked on Amazon and can't see anymore other than the 7.

So am feeling a bit sad. I assumed she had done more outside of the series but if not I need something similar.

Have read the Shetland books, the Vera ones and the Simon serrailer series. I like thrillers but not too gory and love a series to get my teeth stuck into. Much prefer British/Irish settings to anything else. I haven't tried any Skandi series though but could possibly be tempted.

I have had some fantastic recommendations from mn over the last 12 months and hope to get some more. All the above were read and enjoyed on the back of threads on here. And if anyone is looking for a series recommendation thoroughly enjoyed all the above!

I see a couple of posters have recommended Mo Hayder. If you don't like anything too gory I would give her a swerve to be honest, her books are pretty brutal.

Thanks Rosie. I am not a fan of gore.

Just struggling with one of the Belinda Bauer books for the same reason.

I don't mind bodies. I don't mind finding out how they died and whodunit but I don't like being 'there' when it happens iyswim?

Am a bit of a wuss these days. Used to love gore but not got the stomach for it now.

Definitely give Hayder a miss in that case!

Having read book 4 I then re-read book 3 ( to remember all the connections) and then binge read books 5and 6. Am feeling very sad now. Sad

Perhaps I'll re-read 1 and 2. Haven't read them in a while. (Cheering up.)

Have you read the Harlen Coben books? (They are American but very good.) Ditto Michael Connelly? (Particularly the Harry Bosch ones.)

Have you read the new one Mum?

Jealous if not.

I've read 6. Up to The Trespasser. Would be very happy to hear that there is a seventh! Grin

I've not heard of Tana French, will be looking her up as love crime books.

Had you read any of Lynda La Plantes books? Quite old but I only got into them recently, loved the Anna Travis series and also Prime Suspect.

Robert Bryndza's Detective Erica Foster books are great. Also Joy Ellis DI Niki Galena series. And I absolutely love LJ Ross, can't wait for the latest book to come out at the end of Jan.

Off to check out Tana French Smile

Sorry Mum. There is only 6 Confused

I must be getting confused.

Will check those out Violet. Just read the first of the Camilla Lackberg books and enjoyed it very much.

But also have never read any of Kate Atkinson and I see her recommended so much on here I have downloaded Case Histories so will start that in about 10 minutes when I get to bed and stop pissing about on mn.
