In recent years, the number of fireplaces in homes has decreased significantly – but what does this mean for Christmas? For children without chimneys everywhere, Little Tiger Press has come to the rescue with Santa's Magic Key.

We're giving away 10 copies of this festive book complete with a very special key - apply to win your own.

We ask all the giveaway winners to share their thoughts about the book on this discussion thread. But you don't have to have won a free copy - anyone who has read Santa's Magic Key can post their feedback here (and you can buy the book now).

If you've read Santa's Magic Key, post your feedback on the book by 24 January to be entered into a prize draw to win a £100 Love2shop voucher.

This giveaway is sponsored by Little Tiger Press

wow what a fantastic read

So glad I saw this on mumsnet before Christmas. I bought it for my DNiece who really enjoyed hanging the key (which is shiny and solid) from the Christmas wreath. Much easier than leaving mince pies and carrots for Santa and you just need to remember to take it off the door before morning! It was a hit!

I purchased this book for ds aged 4. HE LOVED IT!! He was very concerned before Xmas about out lack of chimney so he magic key was exactly what we needed. He got very excited hanging the key on the door and the story that goes with it is lovely . The note on the key is a great feature and my ds has had me read it over and over that i can now recite it by heart Grin. Definitely a book for anyone without a chimney.

This book answers the question every child eventually asks “How does Santa bring presents to families that don’t have chimneys?”
It is truly magical and exciting! The perfect Christmas read
I love that the book comes with a cute little key that you can hang on your Christmas tree

We live in a flat so this was great reading for the dc's before Christmas, it was a lovely activity to do before the big day and the younger ones were charmed by the little key and the story.

twinklenicci · 26/12/2016 22:19

My youngest is 3 and she absolutely loved the story :)

We got this book this year as its the first year there hasn't been a child scared of him coming in to the house, it was odd not to have an adult go downstairs and bump around a bit first as they brought the presents in from where santa left them outside Xmas Wink

I think it's good because it gives more believability to him using a magic key, other books and films all have him using the chimney as is traditional, so if you have a naturally curious child it can sometimes be hard to make it believable.

Great idea, my daughter wonders how santa can fit down our chimney because she thinks he is too fat!

this was a hit with my 21m old as she recently visited santa who gave her a mgaic key to a toy shop to pick her toy! So she kept pretending it was that. lovely book.

xenoyia6060 · 30/12/2016 22:16

This is a lovely book that is accompanied by a magic key given by santa :) It is a lovely bedtime christmas read for children but to be honest mine were more excited about hanging the key on the door for santa to come in :)
