Is there a mumsnet good book list?

I love reading recommendations on this thread and often note down titles that appeal to me. However, if a thread really flies that can be a lot to note down. Is there the possibility of mumsnet doing a collated list under types of book? For example, from current threads, to paraphrase, books when your feeling down, books set in WWII, books in style of an author, dystopian future novels. And audio book suggestions. Or is that a stupid or unworkable idea?

It's massive isn't it? I may get it on kindle too so I can keep the hardback at home.

I use Goodreads for my to read list and they have a reading challenge.
I'm on 29 of my target of 35.
I used to read a lot more before I wasted so much time on the internet Blush. Going back 10 years I would easily read more than 50 books and I had less free time then.
I find the 50 book threads on here a little long to plough through, though if I'd joined at the beginning I can see that they would work.
I like the idea of top tens and categories. That way you can disregard genre that do not interest you.
CoteAs a matter of interest do you know why the Goodreads list is dominated by children's books? Is it because children like to record their lives online or are adults reading them?

Evariste - Join is on the 50-Book threads. You don't have to read 50 books Smile

Re YA on GoodReads lists, I think it's not just that there are more young readers on the internet but also that adults have started reading a lot of YA, especially female readers. I'm not sure why that is, but I have been getting a lot of YA recommendations from girlfriends in recent years.

I guess reading anything is better than reading nothing, but it's an odd trend imho.
