I haven't had one in my hands for years and they don't seem to turn up in the library. Just wondered if they had aged badly?

My friend's dd who is 12 reads them. I used to read them as a child too.

tigertiger · 30/01/2007 12:33

loved them when i was a young'un, but never see them about now. Remember ordering in 'forever' (i think thats what it was called) just to read about the sex scenes!

whatkatydidntdo · 30/01/2007 12:33

my dc have them too.

chocolatebirdy · 30/01/2007 12:35

I loved them too and also remember the sex scene!! That was the only thing anyone was talking about at the time and everyone knew the page numbers of them!

TooTicky · 30/01/2007 12:36

I'm trying to remember which ones would be good for a 10yo - obviously I don't want any snogging, etc. I think the Sally J Freedman one was good, but not sure if it would be too young.
(I remember Forever - the book every girl was reading at one point)

Who could forget 'Forever'? It was passed around at my girl's school like contraband.
My partner wanted to call our son Ralph, but I just couldn't and you know why!!

twelveyeargap · 30/01/2007 12:43

I bought some for DD. She loved them. Gave her all the "Fudge" type ones when she was around 8 and she read the "Sally J" type and "Just as long as we're together" and those slightly older ones when she was about 9.

Haven't yet introduced the older ones (she's now 11), for obvious reasons.

Forever was passed around my school too. I bet I could still open it right up on the "right page".

ds loves the fudge ones - I had never read any of her books in my childhood - sounds like I missed out!
