She has a new book out this week!

Into the darkest corner by Elizabeth Haynes
Bird box by josh malerman
Before I go to sleep by s j watson

I have more, I'll check my goodreads

waycat · 30/07/2016 04:14

I would recomend the two books that SJ Watson has written so far, Before I Go To Sleep and Second Life.

I found both to be gripping and real page turners.

I can't wait for his next book, whenever that may be.

Another vote for Before I Go To Sleep.

Mr Mercedes by Stephen King.

MermaidofZennor · 30/07/2016 07:15

Into The Darkest Corner is very good, didn't think that much of Before I Go To Sleep.

Blacklands, Dark Side and Finders Keepers - the Exmoor trilogy - by Belinda Bauer
Apple Tree Yard by Louise Doughty
Her by Harriet Lane
The Girl on the Train by Paula Hawkins
Eeny Meeny by M J Arlidge
Rubbernecker by Belinda Bauer

Didn't think Disclaimer by Renee Knight was up to much - disappointing.

Getting on this thread

One book that has been quietly making a statement is Intrusion by Mary McCluskey (which I recommended on the blog as a good read for those who liked Gone Girl and Girl on the Train

And In Her Wake by Amanda Jennings (and it also takes you down to St Ives in Cornwall)

BlackAmericanoNoSugar · 30/07/2016 16:33

Unraveling Oliver by Liz Nugent, she has a new one out too.

waycat · 31/07/2016 04:24

The Back Road by Rachel Abbott - I haven't read any more of hers, but this one I did find really gripping.

DisneySenior · 31/07/2016 04:35

The teacher - katerina diamond
The accident, the lie and the missing all by CL Taylor
The ice twins - sk treymane

KittyKrap · 31/07/2016 06:29

Place marking! I'll be back with my list when I get the kindle.

Apanicaday · 31/07/2016 07:22

SK Treymayne's new one is good too - I think it's called the fire child.

FrankUnderwoodsWife · 31/07/2016 07:27

The couple next door - shari lapena

FrankUnderwoodsWife · 31/07/2016 07:29

Watching Edie die - Camilla Way

CustardCream1 · 01/08/2016 00:02

Thank you all. All these books sound great according to the reviews. For now I have ordered Before I go to sleep and Into the Darkest Corner (second hand off Amazon) and once I have finished these, I will look into getting the other books you recommended. I hate not having a good book to read and hope they arrive soon!

i8sum314 · 08/08/2016 15:29

PS, yes, ELizabeth Haynes Very good, I second that recommendation. I've read all of hers.

theliverpoolone · 09/08/2016 22:19

Do get Clare Mackintosh's new book (I See You) - I've just finished it; it was excellent!

southeastdweller · 09/08/2016 22:26

My pick is Apple Tree Yard.

I've nearly finished I See You and I'm quite enjoying it.

sm40 · 09/08/2016 22:28

Behind closed doors by BA Paris.

actualtotalloss · 09/08/2016 22:29

I really liked Gone Girl.

Also, old but classic, Rebecca by Daphne du Maurier is brilliant.
