We borrowed this from our neighbour and it was great, a good book to read out loud! Even I thought it was funny!

Very funny and original book. What a talented lady to act and write.

I adored this book, it was very witty and absorbing! This will make a fantastic choice for younger readers. Very imaginative and a decent size to keep kids occupied on a long journey.

Marge In Charge by Isla Fisher is a very amusing book suitable for youngsters from about 7 years to roughly 9 years old. Foster child aged 8 years old thoroughly enjoyed it, and found it easy to read having three short stories. Suitable for boys and girls having Jake and Jemima in the stories having lots of fun. Would recommend.

Funny, easy to read and very engaging for the little ones. I really liked the illustrations.

Dessallara · 29/07/2016 14:33

I found it really funny, great for all the family. Even daddy who was looking funny at us reading it, secretly started to read it himself ;D

Kids loved this and I read a bit to them every night before bed. They said I didn't read enough at a time and I should stop laughing so much.

Amaksy · 31/07/2016 00:51

rachnicuk · 31/07/2016 20:12

Enjoyed reading the humorous stories at bedtime. Loved the fact that there are three short stories rather than a long one .

supersuperroo88 · 12/08/2016 10:01

Very funny and imaginative.

Thanks for sending us this book. It's very fun and engaging, but my (average reader) 7yo DS did feel like the book was a bit too young for him. I'd suggest it would be more suited to a 6 ish reader, or read aloud to younger children.

vonniebab2 · 17/08/2016 16:53

A very enjoyable and funny book

angiehoggett · 23/08/2016 07:42

very good book, the kids loved it and were very eager for more!

bisopharm · 23/08/2016 13:36

My 7years old daughter couldn't wait to read the book when it arrived in the post. In her words " the cover is beautiful and I think it will be interesting" She finished it by the next day, and insisted that I read it as well because " it is hilarious and I want a baby sitter like Marge"

I have read the book as well, very funny and good read for age group 6-9 years I think. We got my 6year old son interested as well, when he heard us giggling and talking about Marge. So I am reading it to him as well

miahighland · 23/08/2016 14:51

Funny, easy to read, light and slightly mischievous!!! Just how we like a book.

Teena1975 · 26/08/2016 19:20

From Lauren age 8
Why follow the rules when you can create your own.
Exactly, l think the idea of the book is to encourage children to never think negative about there jobs they need to be done.

My favourite chapter was called marge at the birthday party because it is funny and creative. But over all it made me laugh.I like how the birthday party seemed as if it was all going wrong but then marge stuck in and helped. I wish I had a baby sitter like marge !.
I really enjoyed the book. Thank you Lauren.

FoxInABox · 27/08/2016 15:00
