Am I right in thinking that this has been mentioned on here before and it is supposed to be a good read ??

I brought it for 50p in a charity shop last week and haven't started it yet.

Got good reviews last year, but I was so put off by another of Jodi Picoults books that I gave it a miss. Depends what you like really.

I enjoy Picoult as she conveys each persons different view point and you find yourself being swayed one way then the other. Being a mother, it will make you question what you would do for your children.

I have read other books by her and loved them, however read The Pact and it haunted me for months afterwards.

It certainly makes you think. I really enjoyed it and I seem to remember crying buckets which usually means I'm enjoying it if I'm into it so much it makes me blub!

I like Picoult's books. Like hotpot The Pact really makes you question things.

Hope you enjoy it.

I liked it and it is definately worth 50p of anyones money. I like that she takes a subject that is really difficult and challenging and tries to work it out from everyones point of view. My Sisters keeper imo is her best book.

I have found though that in a lot of her books the mothers can be the most unsympathetic characters.

Has anyone read the one with the child who was abused and went mute, I cant even remember what it was called now. I thought the mother was awful and selfish.

Kezza - I agree - definitely her best book.
I like the multi-narrator thing too.
