Sabrina Boggs’ life is turned upside down when she discovers a mysterious box of her father’s possessions. She only has one day to unlock the secrets of the man she thought she knew.

The Marble Collector is Cecelia Ahern's latest novel and it is a touching and thought-provoking read about the very nature of remembering the past.

Thank you for the book - I have read a lot of Cecelia Ahern's books and, like earlier posters, I liked the earlier ones more than the more recent. But I found this one very easy to get into and read, and hard to put down. It is an easy reading beach style book, very enjoyable.

I had a copy of this already. It was OK, but not as good as some of her books. I agree with the comments something was missing. I was quite involved at the beginning with the plot of the father as a young boy, but the thread seemed to tail off to me.

Such a warm and wistful read. Cecelia Ahern has a knack of drawing the reader in.

It's a very touching tale of a man, a father, living a duplicitous life and further challenged by dementia.

It probably meant a lot to me - as my father has recently been diagnosed with dementia and seems to be slipping away from me daily.... it probably also helps that I loved playing marbles as a child ... I must unearth my marble bag - I think my children would love to learn to play too.

It's an easy , simple, heart-warming read. The characters readily rise from the page and the story flows at a steady pace. Cecelia at her best.

I've written a review for www.goodreads.com which can be read here
bit.ly/28WpHMP there are no spoilers!

I'd urge you to read this book - it's up there with her best.

Thank you for my copy of this book.

This was the first Cecilia Ahern book that I had read as I always viewed her (wrongly it seems) as trashy chick lit. I was therefore pleasantly surprised with this book. I found the tone slightly sad and whilst the story is split between time periods the emphasis appears upon Fergus as a lot of the modern characters do not appear to be particularly detailed or developed. The split time is interesting as it allows Sabrina and us to discover who Fergus was even though he can no longer remember.

I would certainly be interested in reading more by this author.

I have just received my copy of this book and started it last night. Really enjoying it so far. It's easy to read and the characters are engaging. I am looking forward to reading more.
