Sunday books

Sunday books are what I call easy reads. Generally they're set in England (I'm Irish!) and undemanding. Perfect for reading on a Sunday in the bath. I haven't read any in a while due to 2 year old DD but I want to get into them again.

Examples are pretty much all Agarha Christie, Miss Pettigrew Lives for a day, miss buncle's book and the diary of a provincial lady. Nigel skaters kitchen diary a also fit the bill. I'm currently reading Bill Brysons latest, notes from little dribbling but it's taking me a while to get into it.

Anyone else like Sunday books and have any recommendations.

Have you read Mapp and Lucia? Or if you like Agatha Christie, try Ann Cleeves Vera novels.

Here's quite a nice "Sunday" read set in Yorkshire based on the story of Jane Eyre "Thornfield Hall" by Jane Stubbs www.tripfiction.com/novel-set-in-yorkshire-tide-disaster/
