The Martian - I LOVED it!

I know its not new, and I know its not a literary work of art but I just absolutely loved it. I really liked the main character and was rooting for him from the start.

I will now go and watch the film of it to swoon over Matt Damon see how it compares but for anyone who's not yet seen the film and would like an easy but gripping read, I'd thoroughly recommend this book.

I 'read' the Martian - putting read in commas as I whizzed to the end to see what happens.

I think I like books about people and their emotions rather than suspense, I felt this was suspense - would he make it or not - so whizzed to the end. My DH loved it as an audio book which he listened to when driving, I would probably have enjoyed it more that way - then you are not 'wasting time' reading something you are not really absorbed by.
