99p on Kindle today - is it worth reading?

I think so, I enjoyed it, and would say it was worth 99p, if its the sort of book you would usually like to read.

I really didn't like it, thought it was badly written but lots of my book club liked it and said it was good holiday reading.

It's quite good but not as good as it's hyped up to be. 99p sounds ok.

I like mysteries - and it sounds as if it comes into that category. thanks for speedy responses I will risk 99p on it - I have a train journey coming up so it will be a fitting choice to read while travelling.

If you like mysteries this is very good, and only 49p.

It's good for 99p. It is one of the many books trying to be Gone Girl, but it is entertaining enough.

I liked it. Definitely worth 99p.

Beware, this is not the book I thought it was. The one for 99p is 'Girl on a Train'.
I was thinking it was the popular 'The Girl on the Train'.
I was about to buy when I noticed it was a different cover.

I am reading it now. I like it, but don't love it. It's worth 99p though! I was reading it on a train and a girl asked me what I was reading (she apologised for reading over my shoulder). Made for a slightly comedy moment when I told her.

I am on with the girl on the train but I am struggling with it. Too many characters and the chapers titled with their names mean it takes me ages into that chapter to remember which one i am reading about so far.

I suppose that will ease as I get to know them more but so far it's not making me want to read it.

Oh snozzle - you are absolutely right, - well spotted - it is not the book I thought it was going to be either (the one I have heard of) gosh - that's a bit naughty giving a book a very similar title.

Yep as snozzle just said, the 99p book isn't the best-seller from earlier this year, it's a different one.

The best-seller is called 'The Girl on the Train' by Paula Hawkins......just rushed off to Amazon to buy it as I've been wanting to read it but it's still £5.70.....

I am sorry - I thought it was the bestseller (I didn't know it well enough to know the author and just assumed from the title - again I've been musing whether to buy The Girl on a Train for little while)

I have read The Girl on the Train and didn't think it was all that good. I have downloaded Girl on a Train as it's another thriller and I thought I would compare the two.

In point of fact Girl on a Train was published April 2014 and the more famous The Girl on the Train was published nine months later .Jan 2015

Confusing when you see two novels with similar titles. I saw this one in the daily deals and wondered how many people would think it was the one by Paula Hawkins.

Btw, I did buy the Paula Hawkins novel a while ago in a kindle sale, so it's worth hanging on to see if it comes up again. Definitely worth a read - I enjoyed it, but don't think it is worth all the hype it got. It isn't any better than any other good thriller out there.

I see you have the relevant info but just to say if you want a decent read I'm currently gripped by Rachel Abbotts Sleep Tight.
I just finished another of her books The Back Road and couldn't put it down.

Thanks TheMaster - I have read The Stranger Child by Rachel Abbot - and really enjoyed it (think it was a daily deal a while ago) Sleep Tight and Back Road both sound good.

I recently read 'From The Cradle' - by Louise Voss and Mark Edwards (he wrote The Magpies) which I also enjoyed.

I really enjoyed Rachel Abbot. There's another one by Mark Edwards I recently read, will have a look and see if I can find it on my kindle.

Thought Girl On A Train was very far fetched and didn't live up to the hype.

I waited a couple of months on a library list to read it and was glad it didn't cost me.

Saw a copy in a jumble sale yesterday..

Follow Me Home and What You Wish For. They were the other Mark Edwards Books I've read recently. Both worth a read I think

The Girl on the Train was ok.

It was an OK thriller. Nothing terribly special but it might be fun to read it on your train journey.

the book you are talking about is not The Girl on the Train (the bestseller). It's two different books.
