Just wondering if you would recommend her books?

I was going to try Rubbernecker, is this a good place to start?

Thanks! Grin

I read Rubbernecker last week and I thought it was one of the cleverest mysteries I've read in a long time. I read Blacklands as well and that was also very good. She's great at building a really creepy atmosphere and the central characters in both the books were very sympathetic. I'm looking forward to reading more of her books.

Ooh Rubbernecker sounds good...I might give it a go.

She is actually also a close friend of my sis in law so I really want to like her books if you know what I mean! I don't want to be disappointed!

I've read lots of hers. I love the exmoor trilogy that you need to read in order starting with Blacklands.
I think Rubberneckers is a stand alone story though. I've not read that one, it's on my to read pile.
I love them all by the way. Great stories.

Thanks snozzlemaid what are the titles of the books in the Exmoor trilogy? When I look on Fantastic Fiction it doesn't say that Blacklands is part of a trilogy so I'm a bit Confused!!!

Blacklands, Darkside and Finders Keepers.
They're individual stories but some of the characters carry on through all three books.

I love Belinda Bauer's novels. The Exmoor trilogy is excellent, but you must start with Blacklands, and not Dark Side which is what I did, not realising it was the second in a trilogy Blush. I then went back and read Blacklands but, of course, the twist wasn't very twisty then :o

Rubbernecker is really good too - read it recently and loved it.

That is great, thank you everyone! Smile

I've read all so far. The latest I finished last week was The Facts of Life and Death. They are very, very good. I pass them on to my daughter to read on holiday, where the combination of sun-cream,sand and water finishes them off.

Help! I can't decide whether to start with Blacklands or Rubbernecker now?!! Confused

Blacklands, definitely. Start there and see how she just gets better and better with each novel :)

Loved Blacklands as did DH
Not read any others (yet)

Duchess I did the same thing Blush It's testament to how good she is that it didn't spoil my enjoyment at all.

I love her books, especially the very black humour.
