As the seasons turn so do our thoughts; to this beautiful book by award-winning illustrator, author and artist Britta Teckentrup.
Follow the life-cycle of a tree as the seasons blow through its branches. Its lyrical rhyming text and stunning die-cuts will delight parents and children alike.

Thank you for this book - it came in the post as a complete surprise yesterday.
DH read it to the DC in bed last night and said that they loved it. DD is currently learning about Autumn in school and so particularly liked those pages and DS (who is two) liked looking for the Owl in the trees.
I read the book before giving it to DH to read aloud and thought it was really brilliant. The illustrations were beautiful and the story was a simple but lovely way of introducing children to the changing seasons.
I will be sending the book into school for DD to share with her class making it very clear we want it back!
Thank you again, I think it is definitely going to be a family favourite.

This is a lovely book, and a great way to introduce children to the changing seasons. Each double page shows the same tree, with the same background, but with changes according to the time of year, so there is lots for littlies to spot, and to talk about. There are also holes in the tree, in which you can see the different animals who live there, which adds to the fun.

The illustrations are fabulous, and the story - which is told in rhyme - is very simple but lovely to read out loud.

A great read!
