my mum and sister both do it and love it and kep pestering me to do it. they say it is great, esp. if you are the type to read books only once. My sister has ahd more sucess because she reads quite mainstreamy things, whereas my mum is a bit more off the wall so often the people who want her books have nothing she wants to swap with. My sister says it has been great for cookery books too and everyone who does it seems really nice. I would do it if I was organised enough - I say go for it and report back, might be enough to get me going too!

I found that site a few years ago and managed to get a book that my MIL had been searching for. I think she had actually been trying to get it for almost 20 years, it was sent from Canada from a very lovely lady.

sounds really interesting! I'd love to know who ends up reading my odd books, but I think I'd struggle in that I have an odd taste in books, e.g: my favourite book of all time is 'Being Dead' ever heard of it? I didn't think so, it's by Jim Crace btw!

I haven't heard of it, but there are at least 2 available on bookcrossing. I'm going to see if there are any books been sent travelling near me.

I found a bookcrossing book in May,Jigs & Reels, Joanne Harris, after I had read it I left it at an airport an kept checking the Bookcrossing website, the book ended up in Portugal. I think I'll check back & see if it's been found.
