I am very tempted to buy it even if it is £7 on kindle.

Just collected my library copy (which, very unusually for a library book, is signed). Looking forward to reading it in a couple of weeks, after I've read Life After Life.

anyone finished it yet? i just have and need to talk about the twist!

DuchessofMalfi · 18/05/2015 06:22

Bought it yesterday from Audible. Planning to make a start today Smile

hackmum · 18/05/2015 08:18

firefly78 - yes, I want to talk about the twist too but we would have to find a private thread to which no-one else is admitted! Perhaps we could have a thread and mark it SPOILERS?

CakeNinja · 18/05/2015 16:10

Not me!
I read LAL and it was so arduous that I really need a bread from her before I can read this one!
Not to say that I didn't like it, it was okay but found it tedious in places and very slow going. Overall I enjoyed it though.
None of my book club liked it!

firefly78 · 18/05/2015 20:16

yes good idea!

Postchildrenpregranny · 18/05/2015 23:10

Have just borrowed from my local library Loved Life after Life (I like all her novels) and looking forward to it .
Away with 4 friends for two days-my own hotel room so can read in bed til late into the night !

I'm half-way through and enjoying it much more than Life After Life, which I had mixed feelings about. Also seeing myself in Viola to some extent, like Mini.

auberginesrus · 28/06/2015 15:58

Have literally just finished it and feeling a bit emotional! Think I need some time to digest and get my head around it (I felt the same after Life After Life too). I thought it was amazing, brilliant characters and some big themes, but that twist!

BaconAndAvocado · 28/06/2015 20:47

I loved it too.

Anyone know if KA has written another book?

southeastdweller · 28/06/2015 21:32

Yes, she's written quite a few:

Wish I had the day off tomorrow to finish this.

auberginesrus · 28/06/2015 23:04

Ooh you lucky thing Bacon, all those lovely Kate Atkinson books to discover!

BaconAndAvocado · 01/07/2015 20:12

What I meant was has she written a new one after God In Ruins!

I've read all her others. Except the book of short stories, must look that up!

southeastdweller · 01/07/2015 20:15

No, A God of Ruins was only published two months ago.

I finished it today. It's a terrific book.
