I Let You Go or Girl on a Train?

Just finished reading Gone Girl and need another to read ASAP. So both the above books are over £6 which I resent paying for a kindle book, but I don't have the patience to wait for them to drop in price. So which should I go for? Thanks.

Goodness, that is a hard one!

I liked them both equally.

I let you go has some big twists but so does Girl on the train.

I think I let you go has a bit more depth to it so I say go for that one, but really they are both as good as each other. You might be better to pick the book title out of a hat Grin

Thanks for your replies. Yes, I read into the darkest corner and enjoyed it. I didn't get any replies yesterday and was really needing a book to read so plumped for I let you go. Enjoying it so far - 20% in. :)

I've just finished I let you go. Best book I've read in a long time.
Starting girl on the train tonight. What I need is recommendations from those that have read these as to what to read next?

All of The Gone Girl author's books are good. Probably better than Gone Girl

A Kind of Intimacy- Jenn Ashworth. I loved this one.

The Book of You- Claire Kendal

You have probably read these though.

Thank you U2 no I haven't read any of those will certainly add them to my wish list. I couldn't get on with gone girl I may give that another try.

You can get The Girl on the Train for £7 in Asda, which annoyed me as I paid £12 for it in Waterstones, and it's very good.

I haven't read I Let You Go, but it sounds good so I hope you enjoy it.

I can second U2's recommendations of A Kind of Intimacy and The Book of You. I enjoyed both but I think AKOI is the better of the two.

True Things About Me by Deborah Kay Davies might be a good one for you as well. It's a bit different to the others but I remember enjoying it and wanting to know what happened.

Have you read Who Is Sarah Lawson by KJ Rabane? I think it's about £1 on Kindle at the moment and I really enjoyed it. There's a second book with some of the same characters as well, but I haven't read that one yet.

And the earlier Nicci French books are good if you haven't read them yet. The newer ones that are part of a series are good as well, but the stand alone ones are my favourites.

Also The Magpies by Mark Edwards is good if you haven't already read it, but I wouldn't bother with What You Wish For, it's weird and a bit disappointing.

I have now read I Let You Go and thought it was brilliant. So cleverly written. Probably about the cleverest books I have read in a long time. I will download the free sample of Girl on the Train and see how I get on with that and then buy the book if I am liking it.

Madasamarchhare, I can thoroughly recommend What Laura Saw by Sarah King, if you enjoy a story with a twist or two. However, it has a paranormal element to it and so would not be suitable if you don't enjoy the supernatural.
