A Song For Issy Bradley by Carys Bray is excellent, but check the content in reviews first as the central plot isn't for everyone.

All The Birds Singing by Evie Wyld

If you fancy a fast moving, scary read that's part love story, part murder mystery and a ghost story too, then 'What Laura Saw' by Sarah King is a cracking read.

I also really enjoyed 'Before I go to Sleep' though that one is a bit like marmite. I absolutely loved it. Loved the film too!

Oh and 'The Stranger Within' by Kathryn Croft.

I love my psychological thrillers, but am going to try something completely different this time and go for a romance/drama 'The State We're In' by Adele Parks.

I Let You Go by Claire Macintosh. There's a thread on it going at the moment. Gripping stuff.

I clicked on this to recommend Elizabeth is Missing! Just finished it today and loved it.

I really like the sound of 'I let you go' but it's £6.99 for a kindle version! Must be good though because it's way up in the best sellers. I'll put it on my wish list for when I'm feeling rich. :)

I am currently loving H is for Hawk. Non-fiction but really engaging and so beautifully written.

BOFster · 22/01/2015 16:35

I think it was about £4 when I got it (even then it's more than I like to spend, but a friend highly recommended it). It's worth putting it on a price watch with a site like ereaderiq though, and they'll send you an email alert when it falls.

Thanks. I didn't know you could do that. Just read the 'look inside'. Very upsetting start. I usually can't read things where children or animals get hurt, but I think it sounds like a very good book and very well written from a knowledgeable author.

I'm listening to the audiobook of H is for Hawk atm, read by Helen Macdonald. Half way through, and completely agree with Tournesol - it is wonderful. I've been fascinated by raptors for a long time and I'm loving it.

OMG! 'I let you go' has gone up to £7.99 now! :(

MummaChaps1 · 27/01/2015 07:29

I've nearly finished The Storyteller. Can someone recommend a good funny book for a bit of light relief? TIA

The form will not submit to review A Song For Issy Bradley which I would love to do.
