Just that, really :)

Have just "bought" it even though I have got a paperback copy.

Lovely, thankyou!

CaptainTripps · 11/07/2014 23:01

Thanks so much!

DramaAlpaca · 11/07/2014 23:06

Thank you. I've never read it and always meant to. No excuse now!

slightlyglitterstained · 12/07/2014 03:14

Thank you!

lettertoherms · 12/07/2014 03:39

Darn, not on US amazon. Oh well, I have the paperback.

OwlCapone I'm not sure she is. She very recently went through a lawsuit - basically, her fucking bastard "agent" scammed her out of her copyright and royalties when she was very poorly due to having had a stroke. It was sorted out in her favor in September. He'd had control since 2007.

vvviola · 12/07/2014 04:05

lettertoherms I just got it for free on US Amazon (but my account is registered as being in Ireland as initially we could only use US Amazon so I don't know if that makes a difference and I'm also currently in NZ to possibly complicate matters)

I'm off to pootle about and see if anything else interesting is free with all the spare time I have for reading

OwlCapone · 12/07/2014 08:56

Yes, the lawsuit was "settled" in September last year. I googled as I assumed she had died! I'm guessing it didn't settle completely in her favour if it has been released on kindle.

Thank you OP. I read this book for GCSE English, and loved it. Looking forward to reading it again. Digressing here, but I was taken by the name Harper and when DD (5) was born, I suggested it to DH for her name. He also liked the book, but said that his preference was Scout. We agreed to disagree and picked an unrelated name Grin

LINK on Amazon UK

MrsBungle · 12/07/2014 22:53

Great thanks. I've not read it since I was a teenager.

ophiotaurus · 12/07/2014 22:55

Thanks!

caker · 13/07/2014 09:26

Thanks for the tip!

khuliloach · 13/07/2014 17:52

It's £2.

Am I looking in the wrong place????

OwlCapone · 13/07/2014 18:12

It's probably simply not free any more. Often these things are limited time only offers.

DuchessofMalfi · 13/07/2014 18:22

It has gone up to £2 today - had a look on Amazon. Probably worth watching to see if they do another price drop at a later date.
