Did anyone have that article from last Thursday? Which ones are worth reading? 5 down, 95 to go for me!

Will try and complete the list before I die!

I've read 6. "Diary of a Nobody" by George and Weedon Grossmith looks interesting though

MrsSpoon · 09/08/2006 14:48

Only 3 .

SaintGeorge · 09/08/2006 14:57

24 but there are loads of books not on that list that I think should be.

mrsspoon,
no need to be embarrassed!

Also agree that there are lots of books that should be on there that are not!

Speeedymama, Diary of a Nobody is just brilliant. Really funny and kind of sad too. And very short. More like 200 than 600 pages!

42, but own at least ten more which are languishing unread in a pile somewhere.

oh dear, only 11. and none of them in the last 10 years [bluch]

surely a bonus point for having read at least one of them in its original language though...

Tutter · 19/08/2006 11:35

or even

threelittlebabies · 19/08/2006 12:35

Not telling

Aly27 · 19/08/2006 15:27

Cannot believe that I have only read four of these books, and all of them at school. I think the list is a bit too full of old classics and a more up to date list would suit me better.....

Aly27 · 19/08/2006 15:28

Have just read the title "100 best classics"
