I definitely need a disc world pick me up. Can't wait to get home (away for half term) and dive into the filthy streets of ankh morpork Grin

Having said that I do love Granny weatherwax and Nanny Ogg. But the watch, vimes, the dragons (guards, guards is what got me really hooked), Sybil, Nobby, Vetinari, detritus, carrot, Angua, the librarian (not a monkey), the university

What's your favourite book? Who's your favourite character? Would you dare eat something you bought from CMOTdibbler (not the mnetter, I'm sure her cooking is wonderful)? Where can we get our hands on those dried frog pills?
Why don't I want to watch the tv/book adaptions? So many questions...

Witches abroad the bullfighting scene had me in stitches,I can just imagine them knocking back absynthe by the pint.I love the idea of the new Orleans witch and what nanny granny and her discuss behind closed doors in witches code.

Loved Nation. Yes, it's not like a typical Pratchett, but it was lovely, moving, well-written. I blubbed at the end. Loved Dodger as well.

HATED The Long Earth. Just didn't have that Pratchett magic. Usually by the second chapter, I'll be in love with one or more of the characters, but by the end of that book, I couldn't give a shit about any of them. And it seemed to end on a "cliffhanger" which implies a sequel, which I didn't want to contemplate when I felt I'd wasted XX time reading the first one!

Love the Tiffany Aching books. We're planning on getting DS to read them (they're not just for girls!). And he's already well-versed in Where's My Cow?

Truckers, et al: Meh. Good enough writing, but it's Discworld I keep coming back to (yes, I re-read). Night Watch still makes me weepy.

Vimes', Vetenari's and Carrot's ears must have been burning last night when people were discussing fictional characters you'd like to shag.
