Normally I like sH and if I had a complaint it would be that her books are a bit too long. the carrier is shorter than her usual stuff but I can't get into it. If you have read it, please can you pm me what the ending is. got as far as gaby struthers going round to Kerry and dan's house where Charlie has shown up with sam to interview .. somebody. not sure who. so, who killed Francine? tim breary confessed to murder but according the the back of the book "the truth is worse". ok just tell me... please!

I keep swearing never to read another, then going back in weird fascination......currently reading this but tbh I don't care either way whether I find out whodunnit or not (actually, have just read the spoiler and thought - oh right. Whatever...).

The thing I find so wearing about SH's writing is the interminable nit-picking conversations that go on for page after page after page....'ah, if you said this, you must mean this, but maybe not, because you might be pretending to mean that whereas actually you mean something completely different and are pretending because....'

Plus the way everyone seems to hate everyone else, and pursue feuds and grudges to frankly mind-boggling lengths. Surely nobody behaves this way outside a Sophie Hannah novel? Or maybe she knows some very odd people Hmm
