I see nobody has bought the one on ebay yet. I have been scouring the charity shops for it. Apparently it was on the radio earlier this year but I missed itSad
BUT this must mean the BBC have a copy - I wonder if they'd sell...

oh god, tell me about it, ds has a book called "the tractor year" it is just awful. There is a bit that goes something like "and now it is spring and all the corn flowers have come out. Insects land on the flowers and start to eat them. Farmer Joe decides to kill the insects with insecticide"...

and then about 2 pages of discussion on the mechanics of this pesticide use...I actually will not read it to ds.

Then get rid of the book before he can read or you will be unmasked as a fraud (or an incompetent reader!).
I tend to change the words when reading a badly written or overly complicated book - but it's a humbling moment when small child pipes up: "That's not what it says, mummy!"

Reminds me, why don't they show the Moomins anymore? Dts watched it in Belgium and loved it and I have the books.

Now this, haven't heard of it, is it her autobiography?
