Hello All.

I really like biog's and wondered if you had any recommendations for good'ens!

Just finished 'Moab is my Washpot' by Stephen Fry, quite interesting.

The Piers Morgan one makes fascinating reading.
This may not be your scene, but the two Lance Armstrong books are also very good - Katie Adie - very enjoyable - I could go on and on, but maybe you have particular interests or people so these are fairly general - could be more specific if you can give me some clues as to what you enjoy the most.

Billy by Pamela Stephenson is very good, Duchess of Devonshire one too. Scarface by Antony Keidis was a bit repetitive (took drugs, wrote songs, stopped taking drugs, wrote songs, took drugs...)

Anthony Kiedis's (Chili Peppers) biog Scar Tissue
could not put them down

not really a biog but Diplomatic Baggage made me laugh outloud

My Life With John Shaw by Sheila Hancock.

I read Billy and loved it.

I will try anything! I just like to read "real" sometimes and know its the truth. I find Biog's more inspirational also.

Did you mean John Thaw SG?

Although I have heard that 'My Life with John Shaw' by Theila Hancock is also worth a try

there's one by George Melly's wife - think its a girl like you - which was quite interesting too.

years ago I read a biography of James Joyce's wife called "Nora" and it was facinating seeing the artists life through the eyes of the non-artist and much ignored wife. I don't remember who wrote it but it was really well done.
