Reviews sound like its going to be an interesting read. Very gritty with sex, drugs and parish councils all wrapped into one :)

As of pg 39: It is quite gripping in that it tells a fairly banal story with deep insight into each of the characters. So far it's like a series of pen portraits. There's no one particularly likeable in it and definitely no hero/ine has emerged yet. It's definitely for adults (much talk of penises and breasts already).

I saw JKR talking about this on BBC2, until then I had resisted the hype. It was her swearing about kids that tempted me!

must resist this book, i have loads of new books to get through first
