I'm just curious to know which people prefer?

Personally I love both, but I do have a soft spot for second hand books.I can find some rare gems when looking for second hand books, and I love the element of surprise.
I also love that you can often find second hand books for sale in the most unexpected of places.

I buy from jumble sales, random places like hospitals who have a shelf for 10p, my library has sales, brilliant oxfam bookshop near me, two in fact. I spend an inordinate amount of time on Amazon and have 12 wish lists all neatly organised.

I am also in charge of the PTA bookstall!!!!

I love a good rummage in charity shops/2nd hand bookshops and finding a book I have been after for ages for 50p. I take a chance on different types of books when they are cheap as well. I always manage to get hold of new bestsellers in chaity shops as well. You just got to wait a couple of months. Could never justify paying full price for paperbacks. I have a kindle as well, but I usually use that for cheap and free books.

quirrel, is the Tillerman series the books by Cynthia Voigt? - I loved those when I read them years ago and am trying to collect my own copies through charity shops.

OMG - Thanks for that Amazon warehouse link! Can't believe those prices include delivery! I may be some time...

Second hand and in charity shops only cos you get a really random selection but in bookshops you just find what "they" want you to find.

I love books from charity shops and boot sales. I have heard (ahem) that piratebay is a useful resource for those of us with Kindles.
