Fantasy novel recommendations

I seem to have inadvertently developed a bit of a fantasy addiction (after being pretty snooty about it as science fiction's poor relation for years) and need some help feeding my habit. So far I've enjoyed Ursula le Guin, Michael Moorcock, Elizabeth Moon and Sherri Tepper amongst others and really not liked Anne McCaffrey and Robin Hobb.

So any suggestions of well written fantasy (non women-hating also a distinct advantage) would be welcomed,

Kij Johnson, Marion Zimmer Bradley, Patricia McKillip, Sharon Shinn, Jane Yolen, Terry Pratchett, Louise Cooper (I particurlarly enjoyed The Summer Witch) and Robin McKinley are all wonderful writers who tell good stories with feminist undertones.

Hooray! A fellow Sheri Teppi fan! My favourite is probably Gibbon's Decline And Fall, but I loved Grass and Beauty as well. I adore Elizabeth Moon's Remnant Population - an absolute joy to read.

Actually, if you enjoyed Grass too, try to get Mist Over Pendle by Robert Neill, which is the story of another bold and wilful Marjorie.

Am also new to fantasy but liked GRRM, Brent Weeks and Brandon Sanderson. Have a sneaky suspicious they will be classed at the fluffy end of the spectrum though. (I'm also just marking my place so I can work through these suggestions too Grin )
