I am looking for a good old laugh.

I've previously loved all the Jeeves and Wooster stories, Three Men In A Boat, Starter For Ten, Snobs, Diary of a Nobody, Diary of a Provincial Lady... Would maybe like some more modern comic novels if poss. Any recommendations?

thanks

I'm reading Submarine by Joe Dunthorne which is v funny, esp if you have experience of teenage boys and ther idiosyncrasies! Grin

Another vote for Sick Puppy.
Also the early books by Tom Sharpe eg Blott on the Landscape (& remember David Jason in Porterhouse Blue?)

Skios by Michael frayn. It's on the Booker prize longlist but it's really easy to read!

If you like sci fi, i read the red dwarf books. Better than life was the name of one but there are a few. Very laugh outloud funny.
