Wizard's First Rule: Sword of Truth

Or

Outlander.

I can only afford to download one of them so which should I choose?

depends on your taste but would probably go with Outlander

I was leaning towards that one more. Outlander wins with 1 vote! Grin Thanks, Welly.

Outlander every time. (have read both series, TG gets really wordy and dull after about book 3).

I sort of agree with Pointy! Tg is good, but I'd say after book 5 or so it's hard going. What really annoyed me was the dedication at the start of one of the later books 'to all the men and women of the CIA, or some such, which gave the impression that the books may have some hidden meaning type thing, and as a complete thicko, who always misses these things and as such, doesn't like this very much, it Put me off rather!

Christ, neither. After the second or third book they both suck equally.

Terry Goodkind's books don't have a hidden meaning as such; it's very much overt. Actually, as you get further into the series, his characters become nothing more than sock puppets for his politics. I never notice things like that either, but after someone mentioned it, I couldn't help but seeing it everywhere... The books are still gripping, though, so of course I had to see the series throughConfused I found that I was able to just zone out during the preaching and awake at the interesting bits...
