Reason I'm asking is that I have nearly everyone in my living room, my mother buys and reads voraciously, I read a little slower (shes retired I've got a toddler)
I have shedloads too much to list but basically
John Grisham - the broker
the new Patricia Cornwall predator
A few Elizabeth bergs (very nice author)
Lots of Rosie Thomas, new Ruth Rendalls
etc
Happy to offload for postage, then perhaps you could pass on to another mumsnetter after you'd read?
Pls name your author, I'll check later try to come up with a better list!

You or mum might be interested in Bookcrossing as a fun way of recycling unwanted books or picking up new ones.
I put a note on Bookcrossing last night to say I was leaving a book at the cinema just before I the 8.30 Harry Potter showing and as soon I put it down someone leapt out and grabbed it! She'd seen my note and gone hunting for the book! They don't normally get picked up that quickly so in theory it's anonymous but it's great fun.

bookcrossing sounds amazing, Oliviab. I clicked your link but couldn't see a UK page. Do you get loads of feedback on books you've released? Is it easy to get hold of a book you want, or is it more potluck?
