I just read a few chapters of this book and it has me upset and angry for suzie who does not seem all that happy in heaven watching her destroyed family and her killer walking around. Tell me it gets more hopeful. I am not enjoying reading it because it is making me so mad and sad for her. I know alot on this thread have read it, dare I read on???? What are your thoughts on this book?

I also found this book very disappointing. I also bought and read 'Lucky' which is by the same author. Lucky is the autobiography of Alice Sebold who was attacked herself whilst a freshman at university. 'The Lovely Bones' is a novel loosely based on her true ife experience. I don't know why I've written all of this because I also found 'Lucky' dull and unstimulating. Wouldn't recommend either books. 'Of Marriageable Age' by Anita Maas is however the best book I have ever read!

Found it mawkish and a bit silly, but also disturbing in concept.

I read it because of all the reviews I'd heard about it. Shouldn't have bothered. It's very over-rated imo. Certainly, it's original but I wouldn't rate it as worth reading when there are so many others more worthy.

I liked it too. And it's easy and fast to read which is a bonus these days.
CANNOT read a book by a woman who calls herself Lionel. Lionel ffs!

I got about 1/2 through, it didn't hold my interest enough to finish it. Stopped reading it. That happens to me a lot though.

I took it back to the library this week. Now what do I read?

Have you read Case Histories by Kate Atkinson? It's fantastic!

Just ordered them from the library. Have read some others by atwood, really liked alias grace and the handmaids tale.
