... - A Personal Look at Autism & Asperger's by Temple Grandin, Ph.D.

Started it yesterday, just over half way through.
Anyone read it etc.

No but read some of her stuff and seen a doc. She's fascinating. How are you finding the book?

I've got about a quarter left to read. Its an easy reading book, with a few areas repeated, but it is also mainly articles she's written for the Autism magazine and adjusted for book form.
Quite a lot I already know, but there are some good tips in there about medicines etc. and details further useful reading after each section.
Definately a worth while read, even if its just to rule it out as read!
I think it would also be a beneficial read for some teachers as a starter, although there are other books a lot more informative for teaching purposes - this one covers a lot of areas in one go.

Next on the list is:
Sensational Kids: Hope and Help for Children with Sensory Processing Disorder by Lucy Jane Miller
Thinking in Pictures by Temple Grandin
Emergence by Temple Grandin (when it turns up!)
and making use of Organize Your ADD/ADHD Child: A Practical Guide for Parents by Cheryl R Carter.

I've currently read:
Sensory Perceptual Issues in Autism: Different Sensory Experiences - Different Perceptual Worlds by Olga Bogdashina
Communication Issues in Autism and Asperger Syndrome: Do We Speak the Same Language? by Olga Bogdashina
Asperger's Syndrome: A Guide for Parents and Professionals by Tony Attwood
The Out-Of-Sync Child by Carol Stock Kranowitz
plus a few others I can't think of...

Hmm Maybe I've read too many? Blush
