Does anyone else some times forget they are grown up and read kids/teenage books?
When i get teird of being as old as people think i am i revert to being as old as i feel i am,if you know what i mean. I like Tamora Pierce books and susan cooper.i've just been going through boxes of my old books and remembering life before children when i would read a book in a couple of days.
On a more grownup level has anyone read Jean M Auel books. I read Valley of The Horses first and was going through a very put upon feeling phase as a teenager and Ayla out on her own and coping made me feel better about things. I see it a little differently now i'm a mother but its still an all time fav.

i am rediscovering all my old books (my mother keeps everything!) by reading them to my kids

they might say they want action man, but i know they want the worst witch really

I don't think that books should have ages.

I read. I read anything and everything. I love the new things like harry potter, and The Spooks Apprentice. I love the oldies like Malory Towers and faraway tree.

His Dark Materials is officially in the "children's" section.

I also read about people killing eachother and solving crimes

I think so many people lose out on books because they aren't the style they normally like, or the right age for them - there should be more like us!

I enjoy a good children's book from time to time. This summer I was hooked on the Harry Potters and I only read Goodnight Mr Tom about 2 years ago - if it is decent children's literature I agree with flamesparrow that books shouldn't have ages attached to them.

I love reading to my children and my partner, i used to read to my siblings alot (i'm the second eldest of nine)my sisters once had me read the 101 Dalmations in a day stopping only for drinks of water.
My brother loved The Voyage of QV66 by Penelope Lively.
My ds 4 was going through my books tonight and when i told him they had no pictures he said yes but books are always very interesting to us,so we must be doing something right.
I also like Barbra Erskine,Terry Pratchett,Diana Wyne Jones, and Michelle Magorian,Goodnight Mr Tom and A Little Love Song are great books.
