I love my crime books, and television. Agatha Christie is the queen of it all as we know, but i've never really read much of her stuff. Until now!

If you have a seen/read any Poriot or Miss Marple and enjoy it then this if for you.

Its called 'The Murder of Roger Ackroyd' - By Agatha Christie.
Its a potiot story but one like I have never read before. Its gripping from start to finsh, I've just read it all in 2 days and couldn't put it down.

If you have read it what do you think?
If not I could sing its praises any louder!

I really enjoyed its probably my second favourite Agatha Christie after 'And then there were none'. Both are definately amongst my favourite books and ones that I could read over and over. You should definately read some more of Agatha Christie's they're all really good. I even enjoyed her short Poirot/Marple story collections and I'm not usually keen on short stories.

I was thinking of reading this book after seeing an article about it somewhere.Think it was one of her earlier books.

When I was younger I read a lot of Agatha Christie but then started reading Val Mcdermid, Patricia Cornwell and Kathy Reichs. The gore is getting to me.......

Recently reread "And then there were none" and really enjoyed it too.

Do you recommend any more of her books?

I remember reading this when I was about 10/11 and being absolutely HOOKED! The twist at the end impressed me more than anything else I had ever read, and I'm sure its responsible for embedding in me a firm love of all detective fiction.

Oooooh that was the very first AC that I read, albeit 40 years ago... I read them all following on from that... I think I may go back and read them again
